Welcome to Byword.

Byword is simple. You write and it syncs your documents behind the scenes.

For writing, it provides a clean sheet and handy shortcuts to manipulate text. If you are into Markdown, Byword has some neat features that help you perform most Markdown manipulations with lists, headings, links and images. When you are editing a document, swipe left and right on the toolbar above the keyboard to access the extended keyboard actions.

In the Tools menu, on top right, you will find previewing and exporting capabilities to create beautiful HTML documents and emails from your Markdown documents.

For syncing, Byword can use an iCloud or Dropbox account to keep your documents safe and available across all your Macs and iOS devices. You can choose between these services by tapping on the cloud icon on the bottom left of the documents browser.

Folder support is available when using Dropbox. You can either use the default /Apps/Byword folder or choose any other folder in your Dropbox. To create a new folder, tap and hold the plus icon on the bottom right of the document browser.
